Lately I've realized that I bring myself up way too much in situations where someone rants or opens up to me; I always say that I can understand, and I might even try to explain a similar personal situation. I always try to show them my understanding so that the other person knows that I can relate and they are not alone. I just want to reassure them. But everyone is different, and maybe they can take it the wrong way; I don't ever want to take the topic off of them and onto me... I've been finding myself feeling like I could be better at handling these things. I just want to help, but never know how. All I can do is listen and understand. But I guess, that's what people need the most sometimes.

I wrote this song for a friend that has been struggling for a while, and I hope it reaches everyone I know/everyone who has trusted me enough to open up to me. OH ALSO the credits to the cover photo goes to Yair the goat.
